Resize Image to Exact Dimensions

Need your image to be exactly 200×230 pixels for an SSC form? Or 3.5×4.5 cm for a passport photo? Our dimension resizer lets you set precise width and height values in pixels, millimeters, or centimeters, with an optional DPI setting for print-accurate conversions.

The aspect ratio lock ensures your image is never distorted when you change one dimension — the other adjusts automatically. One-click government presets (SSC/UPSC 200×230, Passport 413×531) save you time for the most common requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I resize an image to exactly 200×230 pixels for SSC?

A: Upload your image, open the Customize section, click the 'SSC/UPSC (200×230)' preset button. This automatically sets Width to 200 and Height to 230 pixels and unlocks the aspect ratio so exact dimensions are applied. Then click Reduce Size.

Q: What DPI should I use for government form photos?

A: For digital uploads (JPG files sent to online portals), DPI doesn't strictly matter — only the pixel dimensions do. Use the px unit. DPI is only relevant when printing, in which case 300 DPI is standard for passport and ID photos.

Q: Can I resize and compress at the same time?

A: Yes. Simply set both your target dimensions in the Customize panel AND a target KB in the Target File Size box. Our engine will first resize to your specified dimensions, then compress to your KB target.

Q: Will the image be distorted if I set custom width and height?

A: Only if you unlock the aspect ratio and enter values that differ from the original proportions. To avoid distortion, keep the aspect ratio lock ON. For govt portal requirements that mandate specific non-proportional dimensions, unlock it intentionally.
